Baby’s first birthday card

I decided to pull out the sweet colours for a sweet little girl’s first birthday card.

This card started with the number 1 rather than the main image.  I used a chipboard ’1′ and applied some Tombow Multi Glue to it and then pressed the chipboard into a pot of chunky pink glitter.  The birthday cupcake comes in three separate parts, the base was stamped then cut out and adhered straight onto the card.  The frosting was stamped, cut out, glitter added then mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The candle was also done separately, it has a tiny piece of Stampin’ Dimensionals under the flame but SNAIL under the base of the candle so that it sits up on the frosting properly.  Not much to this card but I wanted it uncluttered and modern looking.

Here’s a complete list of items that I used to make the card:

Big Bold Birthday stamp set
Regal Rose cardstock
Certainly Celery cardstock (plain and textured)
Whisper White cardstock (plain and textured)
On Board Lots of Letters Chipboard ’1′
Tombow Multi Glue
Chunky Sprinkles Stampin’ Glitter (pink)
1 1/4″ Circle Punch
1 3/8″ Circle Punch
Scallop Circle Punch
Crafter’s Tool Kit (paper piercer and template to make holes around the middle white section)
2-way Glue pen (to adhere fine glitter to cupcake and candle)
Dazzling Diamonds Glitter (for cupcake and candle)
Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon
SNAIL Adhesive
Stampin’ Dimensionals (foam dots to raise the scalloped embellishment and the candle)

  1. I think pink and green and purple and green are the coolest colour combos. And again I love the bling ( No-1). I have seen this stamp alot on some canadian blogs I check, It sure is a very versitile little stamp. You card looks great.
