So I was sitting here watching Twilight on my Mac for something like the 500th time and I was inspired to make another one of my Twilight cards. I enjoy making Twilight-inspired cards as they amuse me greatly
Anyway, it occurred to me while I was watching the movie that I had a truck stamp that would work perfectly as Bella’s Chevy.

So I whipped out the watercolour paper, StazOn inkpad and the truck from Stampin’ Up!’s Loads of Love stamp set and set to work in front of my computer while still watching the movie. After stamping the image I coloured it in using watercolour crayons then cut it out. The background is Creamy Caramel ink sponged roughly (my daughter told me she could see the circles from my sponge dauber but I wanted it to look like a bit rustic) then Garden Green for the grass and Sage Shadow for the sky. The trees are from my absolutely most used stamps ever, Lovely as a Tree, and they were stamped in Garden Green and sponged in Certainly Celery. I know, I’ve used something like 8 colours on this card but somehow I think it all works okay. After the background was done I mounted the car onto it using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment was done on my computer – I could have used some alphabet stamps but I was feeling lazy so I just typed them up then printed onto Very Vanilla cardstock and punched it out. The sentiment was then mounted onto Close to Cocoa cardstock and it didn’t quite look right mounted onto a square piece of card so I carefully cut it out following the shape of the punch.
So I hope my card has inspired you – maybe to make your own Twilight card or just a card using a truck and your own sentiment that has some special meaning for you or the person you’re giving your card to. This card was really out of my comfort zone so go easy on me! LOL.

YOur card is great! What a fun theme!
Cool!;)
Great card Angela, I can see Bella and Edward in that Truck!
Ha ha…quite clever. I have done one similar with Bella in mind. I think your card looks great for going outside your zone!
I love the bright colours you have used on this card Angela, and I think the brown at the bottom looks like dust rolling along the country road, that’s so cool!

OMG I love it!!!
Love it Angela. What a great idea. Now stop watching the movie and do some work LOL!! I should talk!
this set and the accessories have been on my wish list since I went to my first SU party. I am not giving up hope! I will get it before it retires. I will, I will. It’s just the cutest!
Sorry have not been round for a while Ange….but I love the fact that everyone can enjoy this card…Twilighters and non-Twilighters all!!! LOL!! Totally random of me, but the truck reminds me of a very retro Wiggles Big Red Car….and I don’t even know what took me there!!! Fab card anyhow. Enjoy the 501st and 2nd viewings too.
Love this! I’ll never be able to think of Loads of Love the same way again!
Just bought this stamp set – must set aside time to use it!
Love it!!
Very cool idea.
I love the way you have used lovely as a tree as a backdrop for this card, you have inspired me to have a go with this truck set, Have to make a boys birthday card – think I may have a go with gloss card. Thanks for the inspiration Angela.
