Fifty Shades of Grey anyone?

And now for something a little different… this card is for your inner goddess ladies, hehehe.

I must say I had a good laugh making this card.  I had the idea the other day then forgot about it – today I was shuffling through papers and saw the grey cardstock and it came back to me.  I knew exactly what I was going to do with this one and I was delighted to find I had some patterned paper suitable for the tie.  The tie was done using origami folding although I will admit to cheating and using a bone folder to help me flatten the creases since I used thick patterned paper rather than origami paper which is so much thinner.  I haven’t had a chance to photograph the steps to making the tie so I’ll do that this afternoon hopefully then the plan is to post the instructions over the next few days.

The greeting “Laters Baby” was done on the computer.  I do have small alphabet stamps but yeah, I got a bit lazy and in this case I think the typewritten style along with the clip (clamp? cough) work well with the tie.

Anyway, I’ll be back with the folding instructions for the tie but in the meantime if you have any questions about how I made this card please feel free to email me.

Oh by the way, you might have noticed I’ve filed this card under the category “Twilight Inspired”.  For those who don’t know the background story, Fifty Shades of Grey was originally written as a Twilight Fanfic.  Fanfic (fan fiction) is basically stories about characters or settings written by fans of the original work, in this case Fifty Shades of Grey was written with the character names Edward and Bella although the story has obviously been changed around.  The original fanfic which was called Master of the Universe was so hugely popular that it was then published as Fifty Shades of Grey.

Hope my card gave you a bit of a laugh today ;)

And here’s a list of Stampin’ Up! products that I used to create this card:

Adhesives:
