Lost your stamping mojo?

Today I decided to make a card exactly as it is in Stampin’ Up’s Idea Book & Catalogue.  I really like the simplicity and elegance of this card which is featured on page 84 of the current Australian catalogue.

here-for-you-case

I was able to make this card in minutes as I didn’t have to think about what colours or style or theme I wanted for my card.  Tomorrow I’m going to challenge myself to make the same card only using different colours and stamps as a bit of an experiment to see how I can make it look different.  Try it yourself! Why not make a card based on a sample from Stampin’ Up!’s Idea Book… if you don’t have the exact products/colours then just copy the best you can – it’s also a good way of getting your mojo back if you’re feeling a bit stuck for ideas.

Don’t have your own copy of Stampin Up!’s Idea Book & Catalogue? email me at angelasargeant@gmail.com for your own copy.  (Australian residents only please)

Here’s a menu of the products I used to make this card:

Scribble This stamp set (also known as Doodle This in the US)
Friends 24/7 stamp set
Chocolate Chip cardstock
Pretty in Pink cardstock
Pink Pirouette cardstock
Pink Pirouette inkpad
Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon (wide)
Chocolate Chip inkpad
Whisper White cardstock
Styled Silver Hodgepodge
