This one is for you Lynda
So yesterday I said that I’d get the card that I made straight out of the catalogue and I’d remake it – just to show how you can take an idea and use different items to suit you. And here’s the result:

Same card as yesterday but different feel/mood. This time instead of stamping a background, I used patterned paper and that patterned paper is also mounted onto more patterned paper that coordinates. There’s two ribbons this time, Baja Breeze stitched ribbon and then Kiwi Kiss double-sided satin ribbon on top. The Kiwi Kiss ribbon is actually three pieces of ribbon… I cheated – I adhered a length of the Kiwi Kiss ribbon to the card then I got another piece and doubled it over so the back of the ribbon is showing (the vanilla side) then I wrapped another short piece of ribbon around the vanilla piece and adhered the faux-bow to the base ribbon so that it looks like I’ve actually tied it that way.
I hope this has inspired you to take another look at the catalogue and see what you can copy and make into your own creation.
The Stampin’ Up! papers, stamps and ribbons I’ve used in this card are:
Pocket Silhouettes stamp set (the ‘friend to friend’ sentiment)
Urban Oasis Designer Series Paper
Baja Breeze Textured cardstock
Baja Breeze Double-Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon
Kiwi Kiss / Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon
Styled Silver Hodgepodge
1″ Circle Punch
Sticky Strip (for making the faux-bow)
Stampin’ Dimensionals
SNAIL Adhesive
